The Senate has voted to approve Cass Sundstein as the "Regulatory Czar" 57 to 40 (2 not voting--Boxer & Byrd)). At 1st glance you would think the 40 Republicans banded together & voted against him; not so. The vote was as follows:

YEAS------in addition to Democrats------were the following Republicans: Sen Bennett (UT), Sen Collins (ME); Sen Hatch (UT); Sen Luger (IN); Sen Snowe (ME); & Sen Voinovich (OH). NAYS-----There were 5 Democrats who joined with the 34 Republicans & they were------Sen Begich (AK); Sen Lincoln (AR); Sen Nelson (NE); Sen Pryor (AR); Sen Webb & 1 Independent
