Pro Union:  Unions have had a profound impact on the rights of working people and should be recognized for what they have done to enhance the roll of working men and women

Anti Union:  Unions are corrupt institutions; lead primarily by thugs who protect the unproductive worker at the expense of the most qualified and valued workers.

Wages of American Workers

Due to workers in other countries who are willing to do the same jobs as Americans at a fraction of their wages means that American workers are overpaid.  Or, is it due to the increased productivity of the American worker based on thier skill set and the use of technology to produce a higher level of quality output.  As with any commodity, the availability of it in the proximity of the place it will be used is a unique advantage and will be able to demand a higher value.

Workplace Safety

*Politicians are criticizing OSHA for its preference for seeking voluntary compliance from employers on safety goals over establishing mandatory regulations; we need to give voluntary compliance an opportunity as opposed to passing onerous legislation.
